Most children would love to get this invitation at the best of times. At the worst of times it becomes a lifeline. The Make a Wish Foundation of Ireland specialise in offering that lifeline; by inviting children who are in the midst of dealing with a life threatening illness to make a wish, and then going about making that wish come true. To help this organisation achieve its’ aims, myself and my good friend Sean Convey have joined with a group of 28 others in undertaking a challenge to raise money for this charity. In March of this year (2008) we will be heading to South Africa to take part in a trek across the Waterburg region of the Limpopo Province. There is one small challenge to be undertaken before we get there. This trek is on horseback. Neither myself nor Sean have ever ridden a horse! So we have 2 months to get up to a reasonable standard ( ie – learn how to stay in the saddle!) 3 lessons down and Sean still hasn't figured out where the ignition switch is!
Each of us will be undertaking various different fundraising ventures over the coming months. One of my ventures is this web page.

The first 2 tracks are cover versions of classic songs. The record company responsible for the recordings have very kindly offered to pay the relevant copyright fees so that I can use these songs to raise money for this charity.
SAIL AWAY - this is a different take on the David Gray classic. Mickey has done a beautiful arrangement of this song. This recording was featured on an the Celtic Chillout 2 album which broke into the top ten in the UK compilation charts 2 years ago.
BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER - Paul Simons song takes on a new lease of life with this arrangement.
The remaining tracks are original and copyright is owned by myself. I'm happy to say that ALL proceeds raised through the sale of these tracks will be passed on to the Make A Wish Foundation of Ireland.
**All donations/purchases made on this page up to the 22nd March 2008 will be passed on to the featured charity (Make A Wish Foundation). After that date it's my intention to help different charities for the remainder of the year (see links page).
